[Type 2] I'm sorry if this is not allowed, but I have a few questions.

Sorry about the changes in your family situation. Not your fault.

You can only know if you have diabetes by getting some blood tests.

Symptoms of diabetes don't really have anything to do with time of day. If anything, then it would have more to do with when you eat and drink.

You should talk to your parents and you should see a doctor, of course.... But that's not your only option to get more info.

If you have a little money, you can buy a glucose meter at any local store that has a pharmacy. No prescription or permission needed, and no need to feel like nervous or shameful if you buy one. There's 3 parts: The meter, a lancet (needle), and testing strips. Read the box; the lancet may be inside. You'd need maybe 10 or 20 strips. And no need to get the most expensive meter.

Also, if you know anybody -- friend or family -- who has a meter, you could test on theirs. Make sure you USE A NEW, CLEAN LANCET NEEDLE.

The test stings a little; but if you test before you eat, and then 2 hours after you eat several times, you'll have some numbers to tell you how well your body is processing glucose. Write them down. Normal is around 4.7 mmol/l or 85 mg/dl.

If your glucose is higher than normal, then do not hide from the result or be afraid at all. It's not your fault. But you do have to get it under control. Just get to the doctor and get educated. Best to know early and do something about it. And start choosing water over fizzy drinks, regardless of whatever result you're getting. There's no nutrition in that junk. You may be eating a lot, not because you're bored, but because your cells are starving for proper energy and nutrition.
