Ubisoft downgrades (CrowbCat)

The Witcher 3 downgrade is the worse one. I mean the game totally changed from the 2013 and VGX trailers to the E3 2014 30min demo, and then it changed a second time from this demo to the release. After a 30 minute demo, I was sure the game would look similar, because 30 minutes seems like a solid proof, and even less than 1 year before the release, it seemed safe.

But suddenly they "optimized it in a way that doesnt affect the visuals" yeah sure... But I guess when they had to make it run of consoles few months before the release they went full panic and had to find a way... Some rumours say the 2013 behind closed doors demos were running on a GTX 680, but framerate was really low though.

TW3 is still a good game and people know it, but we cant accept this kind of bullshit even from CDPR.

But this is what video game industry has come to. Even CDPR who are known as the "good guys" of the industry have to go through this kind of shit to sell their game. You have the huge conventions E3 that creates infinite amount of hype, you have to sell your game so you make a demo of something that is never gonna be released. People start having a boner because this shit looks insane, they get interested, you add some pre-order bonus and then you have chances to make profit with your game. Hype is everything nowadays, people jump on the hype trains so easily it's crazy.

I mean remember that Watch Dogs demo? It wasnt looking that good gameplay wise, it was even boring to be honest. But the reason we were all so excited is because it looked so damn gorgeous. Its the same with the Division, the gameplay looked kinda meh, nobody knew what to expect but damn these graphics.
