I used to be someone that you'd see on r/IAmVerySmart until I realized why I have my best friend

yup, OP is most probably 100% platonic with his friend. but this part just got me thinking how sweet it is if they become a couple

I liked spending time with him since we were so different and it's because he helps me keep my life from going insane. I see him and his contentment and he let's me just talk to him for hours about math and literature, even though I'm fairly certain he doesn't know what I'm talking about, and I listen to him for hours..

I love hearing him just excited for the things around him. I'm always looking forward, seeing what I can do next and he lives very much in the now enjoying every moment and we balance each other out.
