VAC, Lifetime Bans & Rampant Hypocrisy - Richard Lewis

"dream scenario job" - yeah right, that's why they decided to throw right? I am not justifying them, but if you recall, they were not being paid or compensated for anything. They threw some months before CSGO got really big. With nowadays salaries, prize-pools and sponsors, I would hope no one in their right mind would throw- however, throwing always happens when the players involved are actually not making much money. There's another case which you should look into, which relates to match-fixing in Korean SC2. It was very fascinating because some of these players invested their whole lives/careers into it, only to see the scene shrink to infinity. Now SC2 is somewhat dead as an esports game, doesn't pull any viewers nor sponsorship - those players who gained almost no money at all, decided to make cash they'd throw matches. Was it the right thing to do? Absolutely not. But you have to put things into context. Dazed, steel etc. weren't making any big bucks by any means. That's why they decided to throw. They weren't getting paid tons of money and had sick salaries to fall back to. IIRC they were even owed money by IBP. The analogy about shitting in the floor is so stupid and not even related there's no point in me replying to it
