Videogames can inspire violence but don't encourage it.

i believe violent video games aren’t recommended for younger children because they struggle to identify the border between imagination and reality. if a young child has a game like this then it is the parent’s fault for buying it.

equally i think it remains in the responsibility of said parent to monitor and judge if the game is appropriate for their child. games affect children in various ways and if you are not sure that they can deal with the themes then you have to take responsibility for the consequences or not allow the child to have the game.

video games aren’t at fault here, they have ahe recommendations for a reason. i’m not a preacher that these should be followed persay, i think it’s relative on the child. how a child ends up is not always down to the parent, but parents do have the opportunity to mould their kid a certain way if they so choose.
