visceral hypersensitivity

I have several pairs of wide-legged [soft, French] corduroy pants from a British-based catalog called Poetry. They feel lovely. I don't think that I wore anything other than the one pair that was a size too big and washed 100 times to shrink a bit during the entire course of the pandemic. (I invested heavily in French corduroy). Three years later they still look great and are my go-to pants. Yes they have a waistband and often I need to wear a belt to hold them up. This doesn't bother me. Chicos also has pants that circle in the $100-150 range that look good enough to not be embarrassing - they're synthetic--stretchy and they don't have a hard waistband. When they're new or newish they can be "best" pants or church/office pants. Maybe have them dry cleaned for a year to extend the period of time in which they'll look good. L.L. Bean has a black pant in a jersey-type fabric with an elastic waistband (under $100). If they are relatively new, they look good enough for probably most of what you need to do (other than an office) and will look passably okay for about a year before they become wash the car pants.
