I once found a coach wallet with $40, a driver's license, and a receipt with a name and address. The name on the receipt didn't match the license.

I looked up the names online and found phone numbers. The license was of someone 21 years old. The receipt was a 19 year old. I called the 21 year old first. She had recently lost her license but never had a coach wallet and didn't recognize the name on the receipt. I mailed back her license to the address on it.

I called the other number and the girl gave me a convoluted story about how she was holding on to her friends license for her while they were at the bar but kept her wallet and credit cards in her pocket and asked me to mail back her friends license.

I paused for a second and said "I already mailed her back her license and she said she's never heard of you. How about I take this $40, use it to mail you back your wallet, and keep the change for my troubles and for not reporting it to the police"

She said "Ya, that would work. Thank you".
