They weren’t using crazy in a bad way but describing how they saw it at the time re read their response again. They are describing what they felt at the time and how Eugenia saw all their ‘crazy’ and likely used it to justify to herself she wasn’t sick because she wasn’t acting like them.

Crazy is a mean word but it’s honestly how any normal Human would respond if thrust in with humans banging around and screaming and talking to themselves you’d be scared shitless and thinking these people are crazy it’s our minds way of protecting ourselves to stay away from a human behaving erratically. I thought oh fuck a crazy person when a man started making a beeline for me rambling to himself at night at the bus stop you don’t care about words when you feel in danger from a human behaving psychotic ally and it’s for our own safety we feel this way

With that said I think it’s important to talk about how Eugenia didn’t see herself as crazy even though she was deeply sick in her mind too. If she thought they were crazy so was she. Eugenia is scared of crazy even though she’s technically crazy herself

At the end of the day mentally ill people need better treatment..
