Week 6 Update for 500lbs of sadness

The things you say are things that people like me already know. I get the idea that you do not understand that. I didn't lose ALL my weight and didn't put ALL that weight back on. Of course, I failed to maintain the loss I did. I said that quite clearly. We know people are mean, and of course people don't care deeply about strangers' problems. That you think you have to say that rather mystifies me.

And I bet you think I'm speaking defensively here or you upset me (if that was your goal). I'm not and you did not. While your delivery is 'meaner' than it has to be, I'll assume it's just your personality. The OP in that thread was in the process of succeeding and talking to a bunch of people who had succeeded and knew how to. You are not the only source of what works -- indeed I didn't see any particulars about that expressed by you anyway -- and why not get the information from someone who can give it in a more supportive way? Kindness does not equal weakness.

Anyway, whether you honestly believe your acerbic approach helps or are a troll, I do not know. If you have a message, it is being lost in the delivery, in my opinion.

If you are not a troll, I would suggest considering that just because someone is very overweight does not mean they are an imbecile and certainly does not mean they don't know such rudimentary things as "gaining tons of weight is failure to maintain discipline" and "dieting is hard" and "people are mean." r/keto is a wonderful board full of many, many success stories, vast amount of information, and yes, emotional support people need.

Thanks for taking the time to message me.
