Weekly Observations: What signs of collapse do you see in your region? [in-depth]

I'm not going to say much but something fucked up happened today and I feel like it's emblematic of the problems in the US. One of my co-workers got promoted to supervisor recently. He's not vaccinated (clearly a good decision maker and worthy of corporate praise) but masks are company policy so this means today he, an unvaccinated adult over the age of 20, told me, a vaccinated adult over 20, that I need to wear my mask (you can take it off if you're alone working by yourself and I forget sometimes). Were it not for people like him I WOULDN'T HAVE TO WEAR THE GODDAMN MASK IN THE FIRST FUCKING PLACE!!!! FUCK! I know this is semi-rantish but if I didn't point out the jaw-dropping stupidity of the situation to someone I was going to burst.
