I'm going to say it.

Defense heroes are actually better than people give them credit for. Bastion is a worthy tank shredder and is rather sturdy, Torbjorn can lay down suppression, grant armor, and has a pretty good weapon, and the snipers are fearful in the right hands. It's just that people don't appreciate them enough.

HOWEVER, I have left out two heroes: Junkrat and Mei. I don't play Junkrat a lot, but I do play Mei, and I will say, in my disgustingly unpopular opinion, that Mei is probably the weakest hero in the game.

Terrible DPS, a stun combo that takes forever to pull off, can only kill if her target is an idiot, her cryo-freeze makes you a sitting duck, the ice wall is nearly impossible to learn, and as a whole, she makes no sense. The other heroes at least have abilities that fit their lore and character, but what kind of friendly, shy climatologist would design a freeze ray that can shoot icicles and make walls out of thin air? Why would Mei design one? I don't know, we're never told why. She's barely even a character these days.

Remember when this subreddit used to think Mei was the most unacceptable thing ever? Every chance they got, they would insult Mei and her players. There were people who wanted her to be removed from the game, for Pete's sake! Well, guess what? You guys got your wish, because now Mei has been nerfed to uselessness, officially making her Teemo 2.0. I hope you're happy... bullies.
