My dad came to this country when he was a very young boy, he and my aunt lived in downtown queens. My grandparents had no money what so ever. Both my dad and my aunt worked hard in high school, they went to inner city middle and high schools. They both put themselves through college, my dad NYU, my aunt Columbia. They are now both very successful, my dad is about to put me through college debt free as well as my sister. I am amazed at how he came to this country some years ago with absolutely nothing and is now living without any worry about debt. He has always been frugal but doesn’t cut corners on important things. He has always told me to work hard and to always think about the future.
