What am I doing wrong? Feel like giving up

I think the bigger problem is that when people come here and express that they're having an issue and that they don't feel like keto is as magical as this subreddit often makes it seem, they're very likely to get downvoted. And the posts with titles like "Just lost 5 pounds overnight! WHOOSH!" get upvoted instantly, so that all you see on the front page are these extraordinary stories of crazy-fast weight loss. It's unfortunate that this happens, because it can give people who are new to keto unrealistic expectations of what it's going to be like. From my highest weight, I had about 50, maybe 60 pounds to lose, and after seeing this subreddit for the first time, I thought I'd be able to get to my goal weight in a matter of 4 months or so. I also had to go through that realization that people in our situation are just not going to experience weight loss the way some other people do. I feel like even when I reach my goal, I could post something like "Reached my goal! 50 pounds down after 10 months!" but the one that says "New to keto.. 50 pounds down in 2 months!" will get more upvotes. Don't let that discourage you. To me, every pound lost is a mini success. And hopefully it makes you feel better to know that I also still felt hungry for quite a while on keto. I've been on it for 2.5 months or so, and I'm just barely starting to notice my hunger levels go down. Ultimately, I would say that keto is definitely not magical in terms of making weight come off at a super fast rate without every having to struggle. But it is magical in other ways. I went about 3-4 weeks without losing weight, and I was thinking about quitting keto because it seems easier to not have to be so careful about what I eat. But I decided I didn't really want to stop because in general I do feel better. Still hungry sometimes, still have cravings sometimes, but less bloated, less irritable when hungry, more stable, less fatigue. So I stayed on and suddenly for the past 5 days I've been losing 0.5-1 pound per day. I'm guessing I may go through many cycles of experiencing no weight loss for weeks followed by quick weight loss for a few days, but for me keto makes me feel better so I'll probably stay on it either way. It has so many other benefits besides weight loss. That's what encouraged me to stick with it, and I'm glad I did. Hope this helps.
