What are some hard pills to swallow in life?

People really don't like me asking the question here, huh?

To me, having kids is a net positive in life. It brings overall benefits that result in life getting better. The person I responded to said, in no uncertain terms, that they considered their life better when younger, and specifically pointed out kids as the reason that life wasn't so good now. That is the fucked up post. That is what people should be attacking. That is the ignorant, stupid, and douchey way of looking at the world, in blaming kids for a lower quality of life.

Don't have kids if you don't think that your life will be better with kids. You don't have to have them. Plenty of people don't think their lives will be better with them, so they don't have them. I don't agree with that for me, as I want kids, but that doesn't need to hold for everyone.

Being an adult is taking responsibility for your own life. If you think that your best days are behind you because of choices that you actively made, well... tough.
