What is the biggest secret you've ever kept from your family?

I'm 27 and have been addicted to opiates since I was 20. The thing is though, I actually do need them. The Percocets I take are needed for my sciatica in my back and arthritis in my knees. I literally cannot work without them. Whenever I go without, I get withdrawals, I always tell my friends and family I'm just sick or my back/knees are extra painful today. But really, I'm struggling so much. I can't even ask my doctor about going on Suboxones to help with the withdrawals and switch to a different medication because of the opiate epidemic happening here in Canada. He will cut me off immediately and red flag me for life. Sure the withdrawals will stop but I won't be able to work or live a pain free life.
