I don't know where they're hiring French teachers from, because every single one is batshit crazy.

My grade 5 French teacher hated all of us (but always made jokes about me dating her son who was in high school). She threw a desk at a kid for asking a question once.

My grade 6 French teacher cried if you said the word "fart". Then she would spend the rest of the class going on about how rude we were and what some different words for "fart" were, then get pissed at us for laughing. She also wouldn't let you say banana. She was my brother's French teacher a few years later and he confirmed that she was still a lunatic.

My grade 8 French teacher was an emotional wreck. She picked the worst assignments that bored the hell out of us. Once a week we would have two hours of French class, which, obviously, bored the everliving hell out of us. We'd talk amongst each other while we worked like kids do. She slammed her book down on the desk one day, started screaming about how awful we are and how ashamed our parents should be, then demanded that we all wrote a letter explaining why we felt bad for her. Only one person actually wrote one.
