Had an ex girlfriend with a helicopter parent. Girlfriend was 24 years old and everything she did was to please her mother. Not that the mother was ever pleased of course.

Girlfriend was so bad with confrontation that she never talked about any problems until she was crying over it, then would only text me about it.

Ex’s mother would read her text messages while ex was sleeping.

Ex had to ask her mother before doing just about anything, including going out on dates with her boyfriend, which was me (unfortunately).

Ex’s mother made her feel like a whore for sleeping in the same bed as me while at college.

It was a lot like dating a 12 year old. I don’t know how I lasted 18 months with her.
