What made you quit "that" job?

It was an inbound call center and we were basically instructed to tell the customers the rules of our service and argue with them until they backed down. Transferring them to the manager was only acceptable if they got fed up and asked for her, and she rarely answered her phone. One day a customer called up and hit every single nerve I had by complaining and yelling about the exact same shit every other customer complained and yelled about and by the end of the call, I was done. He even gave the same smart ass remarks to my explanations that everyone else did. The call was so predictable and negative that it pissed me off to my core. A year and a half of that was all I could take.
