I live in Wisconsin, and we have family friends that live in Montréal (beautiful city btw) and I've only been there like twice. I remember trying poutine for the first time, I absolutely loved it!! Literally every restaurant we went to after that in Canada I ordered poutine or some variation of it. Including this supper fancy white tie kinda restaurant at the top of a skyscraper. Idgaf where we ate i lived off of poutine for 2 weeks lmao.

Ever since then i feel like i think about poutine like once a week. The closest restaurant that has it is like 2 hours away. I've tried countless recipes online. i know its really simple, I've tried plenty of combos with different brands of fries, gravy, and curds, including home made for all of them lol. And i cant find one that is anywhere close to as good as what i had in Canada. Especially the variations i had there on the base recipe.
