lmao “patience” is a funny word for +15 armed cops and a dog barking and screaming at a dude barricaded in a bathroom that they’re gonna shoot him if he doesn’t come out, and then proceeding to shoot teargas canisters into the house. not saying he should have been there, heard he was yelling slurs at people which is awful, but he obviously had some serious mental health issues and his sister and brother in law came 2 minutes before they raided the house and begged the sheriff to let them try to talk to him calmly. obviously the SB sheriff department was more interested in a show than a peaceful resolution.

Again, from what I heard from the neighbor the guy was a serious problem, but the situation was escalated by the SB sheriff’s brilliant decision to bring in an entire squad with dogs. The sheriff who talked to the family seemed to be having a great time too.
