What’s the stupidest thing a coworker did at your work that got them fired?

Was consistently stealing ~smaller amounts of money, and lying on timesheets to also be paid extra. This idiot was literally never, not once, the person to count the money and record the earnings at the end of the day. We’d have records from the till showing our sales, and were cash only at the time, so any discrepancies were obvious. A few dollars on occasion would be accepted as a mistake, but $20-$50 dollars a couple of times a week was not. My boss was suspicious that it was this guy, but needed to catch him. My boss had a history as a detective. The guy was fired quickly. After that, security cameras were installed in the back area of the workplace. Previously they’d only been in the front where customers were.
