To the best of my understanding, whole object relations is the ability to view oneself and other people in a stable and realistic way as opposite to either all good or all bad, depending on one's ever changing feelings. We develop this ability in early childhood when we observe that our parents are still loving and attentive towards us even after we have displeased them. When this ability is underdeveloped, you get personality disorders. It seems plausible to assume that in AGPs, the female persona is the part of themselves is always good.

Other AGP men who don't want to transition stabilise their self concept by religion, they need strong discipline in order to avoid psychotic breakdown and suicide.

Detransitioned AGPs (Walt Heyer, James Shupe) sometimes become conservative Christians (unlike detransitioned women)
