What should people stop buying?

The only way I feel this is possible is with leftovers.

For instance, ham or turkey is usually $11.99/lb for Boar's Head when not on sale. I can get about 4 sammiches out of that pound. Then you need mayonnaise, which lasts a good while. Bread, lettuce, cheese, tomato, etc.

That sammich turns into $4-5 pretty quick. A #1 at Jimmy Johns is $5.95. But the homemade one will taste much better IMO.

Factor in other things like a banana or apple, chips, drink, perhaps a cookie or something for desert. Much more than $2. However if I spent $5 making something with chicken or beef the night before, ate once already and have leftovers, it's economically more feasible. Even my friend that makes salads and stuff all the time for lunch, spends more than $2 per meal.

Teach me your ways lol.
