I have one I keep on sharing on "let's tell us scary stories" nights you would have with friends.

When I was around 15 years old I went to walk with my dog. The route I usually took led to a forest area with exactly one streetlight. I usually go only far enough after the light until I can't see the way anymore and go back home.

It is not unusual that other dog owners used to walk there, so I was used to people coming out of the dark forest walking into that light while passing me. I need to mention that my dog usually ignored people, except if they ofc were walking with other doggos.

So one night, I was on my walk as usual, I saw a person approaching the light from the other side. I remember the silhouette as if it happened yesterday. The person looked a bit like one of this oldschool detectives with a cowboy hat. My dog started growling and pulling the leash, which he usually never did.

So while I was a bit embarrassed that my dog behaved this way, I tried to get past the person asap and avoided any awkward eye contact. The thing is, when the person walked past me I noticed that I didn't hear any footsteps and it felt like a small breeze on my shoulders. Meanwhile the dog was going even more crazy, starting barking and pulling like crazy, so I turned around to apologize to the person and hoped the dog didn't scare them.

Well there was no one. When I turned around the person was gone and surprisingly in the same moment my dog went silent, started sniffing around. Think he was just as confused as I was. Got instant goosebumps and ran home as fast as I could. I am pretty sure animals can sense stuff we simply can't.
