Did you fucking seriously sell dates? Goddamn son. That is some talent right there. Now, I sold tickets to the pool that was on the roof of the middle school in 8th grade. (There was no pool on the roof) This is a pretty popular scam and we did it in high school too...people just don't usually end up making money on it... but that's nothing compared to...well..dude you were basically a pimp, in the truest sense of the word. You were, in middle school, a certified mother fuckin pimp.
We had something like that but we were not nearly as uh...territorial? No one ever got stabbed over it. And no one made enough to buy a car and put themselves through a year of college. It's a small town, so if you wanted something there was only so many people you could really call. Name a drug and I could have gotten it for you back then, alcohol, pirate DVDs and xbox / 360 / ps3 /pc games. You know...the usual shit kids in middle/high school want but may not be able to get or afford; we sold pirate stuff real cheap, before everyone and their mother knew what a torrent was. We would mod consoles for a nominal fee. Cigarettes were always popular too, booze was actually harder to get than drugs so you could sorta price gouge a bit on that. Not to a dickish extent but, enough to get your own bottle.
But mostly it was just drugs, and mostly just bud. It got to the point where I really wasn't a weed dealer but I was being asked so often that various dealers would just give me shit and know I would give them what they were owed in a few days. I didn't even have to try, I would sit at the communal cigarette smoking spot during lunch and people would just come up and collect their wares. Then go down to 'the spot' and smoke, come back up and hit the corner store for munchies.
No one ever 'jacked' anyone really. One kid tried to steal around $13k once, but he was run off the road and the money recovered. Like I said, small town, so if you jacked someone you really had to sorta watch your back forever after that. Best just make an 'honest' buck.
There were some occasional really fucking weird requests. I was more than once asked if I could get a firearm and/or bullets. In all honesty I probably could have but wanted no part in that and just said no. The morning after pill, I shit you not that happened a few times. I did the occasional ID, but our state had already gone to plastic licenses so if you wanted to make a fake you would make a Delaware license since they were still laminated back then. Stores around here generally knew to look for that shit and it was easier to just get the booze than an ID.
Like I said, none of us ever made that kind of money. We made the kind of money that let us smoke, eat, and drink for free. Really I think it was just more fun being 'those guys' (we had a few girls too) than making a bunch of money. Probably why we never did make a bunch of money; we just did it for fun and so we didn't have to pay for stuff.
I think the closest we ever came to making a serious profit was the time we threw a week long 'rave' at a friends house. We blacked out all the windows and set up a sound system and some lasers and junk. $5 to come in, $25/pill (roll), $5 to throw in on a blunt and $5 for a red cup. We did that all day and night for 6 days. Pretty sure I shaved a few years off my life that week. But, after all the sums were done we each made like $250, and partied for free all week.
Now....I'm lucky that I can still get bud. I have no idea where to get anything else, drugs or otherwise. Still, it was fun and I think we all had a good time. Sounds like you guys took it to the next level though and really did make it into a business. It was also much easier/safer being a middle than having ounces of bud and all manner of other things on me or in my house at all times.
