What type of girls are you into?

I mean, a lot of these are complimentary, or co-exist with each other. It's rare, for example, to find somebody who's emotionally stable and also a slob. Having a clean room or house (within reason) tends to be an indicator of emotional well-being. And having a stable home life growing up will lead to higher self confidence and willingness to try, and pick up, new things. Being well-educated tends to be an indicator of high intelligence, and has high correlation with earnings. Having fitness as part of your life just makes everything so much easier and more fun.

If I had to short-list this as top 5 - and understanding this list is subject to change based on my continuing experiences - it would be:

  • she has to have hobbies that are her own. I've dated women with no hobbies besides watching tv, and my hobbies always eventually become theirs, so there's no separation of our lives. I like a woman with her own hobbies so we have stuff to talk about, and when we each want a night off, it doesn't feel selfish.
  • similar libido and kinks. While never number 1, compatible in the bedroom should never be lower than 5. It's too important to all aspects of a relationship (for me) to let fall by the wayside.
  • No mental illness. I get that the sine wave of life has ups and downs, and shit happens sometimes. Totally understandable. But because I've done this in the past, I refuse to date someone with the sort of mental illness I describe that needs daily treatment to exist. I've dated women with c-ptsd, and bipolar, and anxiety, and borderline personality. Never. Fucking. Again. Ever. I don't need pills to function every day, I'd prefer the same in a partner, especially given the heritability of mental illness to offspring
  • Good relationship with her father, and he is/was a major player in her upbringing. Fathers just play too much of an important role, especially with their daughters, for me to skip this one.
  • Intelligence. I don't like dating boring or dumb people. I like stimulation, I like lively discussion, I like being challenged on my bullshit, I like interesting conversations, I like different perspectives.
