I'm not sure if this counts but bear with me, This happened several years ago. I was hanging out with a few friends in my room. No one was supposed to be home but us, my brothers were out to the store and my mom was on a date. Anyways we hear a knock on my bedroom door so I yell for them to come in and no one answers so I thought it was my brothers messing with me so I yell again and get up to open the door me and friends hear a loud cough from the hallway so me irritated swing open the door to an empty dark hallway, me and my friends being retarded teenagers go look all around the house to having no one being there but us. I freaked out and called my brothers asking them to stop messing with us and they tell me they aren't even at the house yet and to stay where I am and don't leave my room until they get there. Could've been an attempted burglary but we would've heard them come in and out since my frontdoor is super loud . Still kinda messes with me
