What would you think of someone who has a slovenly appearance and defends it by saying that s/he is too busy to care?

I'd totally understand that feeling. I'm still in college so that's different from how I am outside of college having a working day adult life. Because of school, I literally have no time. Often I don't have makeup on and my hair is a messy bun. My clothes consist of a sweatshirt and jeans. I'm running on anywhere from 3-5.5 hours of sleep. But, I'm showered. I go to a school where sometimes the people next to you reek because they've been in the library for three days straight. I'd understand if I ran into someone like me on campus. Because I'm not okay and they're not okay. But I get it. And it's also not okay to be gross, at minimum shower.

But if I'm outside of school and I haven't bathed and look slovenly, I'm not okay because I definitely have the time to shower and self care. When you leave work, the rest of your time is yours. You don't have to worry about studying or homework. So you should have the time for minimum self care, if you're not reaching that then something is very wrong.
