Many people use reading about the love languages from an article or word of mouth or shallow understanding of the concept to mean: I perform [love language] so I get PhYSiCaL ToUcH (sex, they mean sex for the readers at home).

It was written by a religious nonprofessional who lucked out because the title was catchy and it’s a really simple and attractive concept. Attractive = easy.

It’s not that easy.

Just love your partner in many different ways. If you’re anxious, make sure you stop and literally think about all the ways your partner shows it. If you’re avoidant stop thinking your partner is critical and accept that it’s ok to love them in different ways than you already do.

Keep sex a separate discussion. It does not equal physical touch, it is but one example.
