What was your childhood music path that lead you to metalcore?

I satrted out with Green Day and Nickelback (oof) - then immediately jumped to BFMV - AILD - Trivium - COB - since I was 12 i basically listened to these bands (and a few songs of some others) - but then my path lead me away from it when i was around 16 or 17, and until now (21y/o) mainly listening to Metallica - Slipknot - Machine Head - Cancer Bats - Rise of the Northstar (and believe it or not^^) but mostly Pop including -K and -J (and EDM). An unbeatable constant in my music path were anime openings and one band called Asian Kung-Fu Generation. I still listen to Metalcore but *very* rarely these days, lets say like 2h a week and i listen to music ~24h a week. (Number is so high because of workouts including travel time)
