What is your unpopular MMA opinion?

I love Rizin and/or promotions that can offer what they are offering, such as not-amateur level opponents, some even high level that could compete with some of the top 10 guys in the UFC... HD video of the fights, good production values, ruleset that allows knees, stomps and kicks to a downed opponent. Some wild, but entertaining freakshow fights. For others, they'll probably point to fighters having another option other than the UFC or that with the presence of other promotions with money to throw around fighters like Benson Henderson or Aljamain Sterling can get more money from the UFC.

I never considered this before, but these last 3-4 years has really turned MMA into a pure UFC product, especially for new fans. Before that I remember it was easy to get people excited for non-UFC shows, but now it seems it takes more effort to get people excited about other promotions like ONE Championship or Rizin... but the UFC shooting themselves in the foot (repeatedly) with Reebok and removing awesome highlights as lead a bit of a rally to support other promotions I haven't seen in quite some time (I'm thinking since end of 2013). And it is a wonderful turn of events.

I've gotten bored of the UFC brand (I still love watching the best fighters, but the amount of fighters and fights they put on is at an unfollowable pace for most people) and seeing Rizin and ONE Championship get some fans and support is fantastic... not to mention it's nice change of a pace of week after week of UFC events that LOOK EXACTLY THE SAME. This was a huge criticism of old Bjorn Rebney Bellator shows, but the UFC was able to do it cause they have by far the best fighters in the world and most fans are still just here for the fights.

My 2nd one is I should stop reading comments on /r/MMA. It's still just an opinion as I'm not quite doing that yet, unfortunately. kill me
