What's the cause of obesity in America?

I have moved here from Europe. The calories are so extremely cheap, it’s hard to explain.

Restaurants for expensive lately, but you could eat for a few bucks at a fast food chain like kfc, Wendy’s or McDonald’s a few thousand calories.

Any step up like Red Robin, tgif, Applebees are also still cheap in comparison with cooking at home and it doesn’t actually taste bad. Unlimited drink refills too. Not to mention I’ve been through a phase during Covid, Pizza Hut regularly sold me large pizzas under $15.

And then shopping. Sugary drinks are cheaper than water, that should set the scene.

Not getting fat in the US takes effort for us lol.
