being in atlanta.

i'm currently staying with my dad in bumblefuck, virginia with nothing to do, no friends to spend time with. the only person my age is my cousin who would ignore my texts whenever i would ask her if she wanted to hang out, and after 5 months of silence the only thing she texted me to ask was if she could use my pee for a drug test.

i'm miserable with my dad and coming down to atlanta with my mom just sort of... brought me back to life. i'm happy again. i'm able to joke around with her, go to different restaurants. i have a friend from uni that lives 20 minutes away and we've been going out on the weekends. i spend my evenings with my mom watching tv, random movies, and making dumb jokes about whatever comes up.

it's nothing major, but to me it means the world to just have a presence there. and to feel wanted.
