What's the top wind speed you've ever flown in ?

I flew my Zagi style slope soaring wing in 45 mph winds once. That was nuts.

First, I needed all kinds of ballast, and I didn't really have anything designed for it. So I duck taped several wrenches from my tool box to the bottom of my wing.

The wind dried out my eyes, so I wore the fully enclosed safety goggles I had.

And then once I started flying ... I crashed over and over and over, it was just too much. Even with all the ballast, the plane was still only a little faster than the wind. Fortunately, the plane was built for combat and was strong enough to support that, made of foam, metal gear servos, buried pushrods, no prop, etc.

Quite possibly the most fun I ever had flying R/C!
