There are confirmed cases of direct links between Gardasil and health conditions such as autoimmune disease in certain individuals. No medications or medical intervention is received the same way for all people, nor is there a medical intervention that is without risk. It is important to do a cost benefit analysis for each individual person with a health care provider before choosing a medication or medical device.

Unfortunately for me, my doctor recommended Gardasil, and my severe reaction to it, while rare, happened, and it still affects my health to this day. It is important we document and recognize adverse reactions and study them further to have the most safe and effective medical interventions that we can. This includes studying and gathering more information on adverse reactions. Unfortunately the pharmaceutical industry and regulators do not make this an easy task, which causes both mistrust of medicine, and harm to those that could be avoided if claims were taken more seriously.
