What's your favourite school memory?

In ninth grade they assigned us a project for biology to go find 10 species of Texas wildflowers, dry them, identify them and bring them in. Every extra species you brought over 10 was extra credit. My dad is 200% not a flowers man, but he wanted me to do well on that project. It turned into a whole weekend of us driving halfway across Texas finding over 35 species of wildflowers together. We cut prickly pear off of cactus, found bullnettle which is poisionous and made me break out, but we had such a good time together. I remember bringing in my project for my teacher and being so proud that I had species that no one else in class had found. When I drive back home as I am driving I am thinking, "that's an Indian blanket flower", "that's a Mexican hat flower", "that's queen Anne's lace". I know the names of all of the flowers and it's one of the things I love most about Texas, one of my most cherished memories with my father. Wouldn't be a part of me if it hadnt been for that project.
