When did you transition your child out of a crib and why?

  1. And only because she started jumping and broke the crib. My son is jut over 2 and no where near ready to get out of the crib, he doesnt even attempt to climb over the railing and it isnt even on its lowest point yet.

Autism life, makes things a little bit more complicated, taking them out of the crib isnt as simple as just giving them a bed, My daughter had a twin mattress on her bedroom floor next to her crib for almost a year, she played on it and watched TV on it and got used to it existing while she was still sleeping in her crib for naps and bed. Will probably end up doing the same for my youngest... He freaks out when I put him on my mattress so it'll take some getting used too.
