When you visit the other Starbucks...

(I'm a customer.)

I try very hard to stick to the one in my town. It went in like five or six years ago, and every time I go in there the baristas are super pleasant, at least half of them know my name and always say hello to me/ask me how I'm doing (I guess I'm kind of a regular, plus I used to go in with my guide dog before retiring her so I kinda stuck out like a sore thumb). They'd say hi to my dog and ask if I wanted a puppaccino for her (I didn't; she was working). And every drink I've gotten from them has been fantastic. One day I went in without my dog and a barista asked what happened and we got into a discussion on why I had to retire her. Hell, I went through drive thru with someone last month and the barista working DT recognized me and we chitchatted (there was no line); he asked where I'd been all summer and we both discovered we'd been away at different times. I had a reward to use to cover part of my order and he just ended up not charging me for the whole thing. Another time I went in (I remember this vividly) and ordered a grande iced green tea latte with coconut milk and the barista gave me a venti. I asked because it didn't feel like a grande when I picked it up (I'm visually impaired), and he simply said "Yeah, you asked for a grande but I gave you a venti." And only charged me for the grande.

I go to other Starbucks locations and their drinks aren't nearly up to par, some of the baristas aren't as pleasant, and I just get that feeling. It's kind of sad. Plus a lot of the time other stores will say they made my drinks with soy when they actually didn't, and I'm lactose intolerant and anything with regular milk in it upsets my stomach and I don't find out until later.
