Women of Reddit, what was your worst encounter with a “nice guy”?

while they're really sad, delusional, pathetic men they're kinda right about the chad thing. I thought i did pretty good with women. Was above average looks, super into fitness, and could always make people laugh, get along with anyone, etc... My best friend growing up was a lenny kravitz looking adonis who fronted in a popular band. We're so close because he's one of the funniest people i know and a blast to be around. The man had a rolodex of wife material that he could beckon on demand, in multiple cities. They all knew the deal that it was basically a buffet you're sharing with a dozen other girls that week, and they were fine with it.

When it really hit me was one day he was back in town from tour, and we met up to hang out for the day and catch up. We get lunch, and the cute hostess chases him down in the parking lot after a 2 sentence conversation with him at the register to give him her name and number. We go out for a hike, take a nap, then head out for a night on the town and he would just attract every dimepiece woman in the building like moths to a flame. i lost count of how many women came up flirting with him and exchanged numbers, it was more than the quantity of rum and cokes it took to get me drunk enough to stop caring about being talked to out of politeness by gorgeous women. You ain't slick alyssa, I know damn well you're just being nice and talking to me to get your foot in the door.
