The worst thing about the "Bastion Meta" is the people who are acting like the world is over. Just stop.

Fellas talking about the reduction, remember it only applies to when he's in sentry and when he's in sentry he's still a sitting duck. Not only that, but the nerfed the spread and the headshots on him as well. Sure, phara needs 4 direct hits, but bastion will have a way harder time getting her whilst he's flying around. If he did not have ironclad, and still got nerfed with the spray he'd be useless again.

But sure, he LOOKS dangerous to a low of people, and there is no doubt he was buffed greatly. But remember he was basically useless in high ranks, he needed a great buff to be viable. We don't know how it'll go, there is really no way of telling the game's meta is everchanging. Remember when the game was new? Everyone was saying bastion was too OP (I mean launch bastion, not shield-bastion) and he recked games, but see where that got him.

In my opinion the buffs and viability lies in the movement, not the sentry and how much damage he can take. He's now a clear counter to any rein defence/push, being able to jump in and break it down for fellas like road to get a pick. Then he can get out and heal up whilst taking cover.

I personally don't think a sitting, protecting bastion sentry bot will be the new meta (rein shield, mercy dmg boost), I rather think a meta going around him will more be his ability to jump in, take out a shield and jump out and acting like a larger, less movable soldier when the shield is down.

And we can kind of expect blizzard to fix him if it turns out he's actually going to be a problem and make a new "game revolves around this hero" meta.

TL;DR, Like OP says, let's wait and see how things play out instead of complaining just because of plain numbers, rather wait like a week and see how players adapt to playing against him.
