I lost it. I lost the medallion.
This happens quite often. I'll be honest, I'm fond of the soma. Misplacing things is a daily occurrence.
The player, it looks like "schwagfagyomommasbagged", was rapidly approaching. So I did what any other honest man would do.
I stepped back.
With the counter surrounding me on four sides and me in the very center, the player could not come close enough to ask for my wares.
"Greetings, friend!" I called, waving.
The player, heavy with armor and a sword the size of him, walked up to the counter and stood for a minute.
"Have you slayed the Centurion?"
The player backed up and reapproached. He circled around, again and again.
"Need you wares for your journey?" I queried.
Schwagfag danced around the counter, then slashed his sword at the empty air. A column of fire exploded in front of me.
I screamed and cowered in fear, but moved no closer.
While we engaged in this dance, a new player rode up on a tiger. Jazmatazz, adorned in a purple cloak and plastic tiara, approached.
"yo can you use him?" Schwagfag asked.
Jazmatazz approached the counter and did the same checks schwagfag had.
"nah whats up with that? I need this quest."
"Will you assist me once again, friend?" I quipped.
"im gonna look it up h/o" schwagfag told her.
He froze. After a few seconds, I took a step to the right, where Jaz stood.
She immediately leaned in and we started our whispered barter.
"It seems I may have gotten a tad... loose... last night and lost a rather important medallion. Go to the Griffin tavern in Oaksdale, and see if someone there knows something. I'm so embarassed, please keep it as quiet as possible."
I offered the girl 12 silver pieces, a bronze tiara, and an ancient scroll of ultimate taming (her tiger looked rather stupid).
As soon as she accepted, I returned to the center of my stand.
She stood and waited a minute, presumably to to tell schwagfag. It would be awkward for me if they were to interact now.
"Make haste" I said, snappily.
"This shop keep is rude as hell. Schwag he unglitched up to the counter for like half a second, so maybe just wait around? I gotta go, Good luck." With that, she took off.
After a few minutes, schwagfag simply disappeared. They usually did. I would see him again soon.
