[WP] Mars is actually the planet that was flooded by God in the bible. Noah got on a space ship and came to Earth.

He realized it was impossible to take them all. For how could he get two of every creature, one male and one female, before the flood overtook the world? He still had to build the damn spaceship to protect himself and his family. He would just have to build the spaceship first and then save as many creatures as he possibly could before the rain came down. And so he went off in search of the few lives that could evolve and some day replenish this new world he was headed to. He would have to leave his campanion, the automation. Automatons could always be created. It would be much more difficult to create new life. And so he must save the creatures instead. He gathered up as many as he could but alas, he could only take the ones near his area. He had to leave behind all the other animals that lived on the other side of the world. These would have to drown in the flood. Time would not permit otherwise. Noah gathered up his family and the few creatures and they all took off in the spaceship that he had built. The automaton watched his campanion leave it behind. Perhaps one day his campanion would come back for it. Perhaps Noah had made it strong enough to survive the Flood. Perhaps it would only have to wait a little while for a companion. The automaton watched the developments of Noah's new home planet. It saw the sin that befell Ham, Noah's son. It watched as the few creatures Noah took with him evolved. It watched as humans learned and grew in wisdom. It watched as humans created new automatons. It watched as the mars rover was being built. It watched as the rover arrived on mars. It watched from afar, as it had been alone for so long and so had forgotten how to communicate. Perhaps one day it would go up to the rover. Perhaps it would wait for a more intelligent automaton to be sent to mars. Perhaps one day it will have a companion again.
