[WP] The year is 20XX, aliens known as Angels have descended upon Earth and has begun wiping humanity off the face of the planet. Your father forces you to pilot the newest superweapon made to combat these aliens.

"Welcome aboard sir, we're glad to have you here." Remarked the Lieutenant. I nodded and approached the central part of the command deck.

"Status." I ordered.

The Lieutenant perked up, "UNS Spirit of Valor ready to embark sir, engines and SLT drive primed and ready for cast-off."

"All hands brace for Superluminal-jump." I barked into the intercom.

I felt every part of my body shaking and soon, a bright white light seized my vision, and then, my mind began to race and think back to a simpler time. 6 Years ago, Humanity was attacked by a malicious Alien race of unknown origin. They were built much like us, only far taller, stronger, and faster. In our first encounters on the frontier colonies, it was massacre after massacre as isolated garrisons were completely slaughtered by the sheer ferocity at which these demon-like things came at us. Our weapons for the most part only grazed them, and it was only after 3 years of bloodshed that we were able to hold these monstrosities away from the invaluable core-systems in order to construct our deadliest weapon yet.

The Void-Cannons were a universal effort by mankind, the first ever in a long time. We put aside our bickering and squabbles and utilized our already lengthy experience of deathdealing and destruction to create a possible pinnacle of systemized eradication. In short, the void-cannons used incredible amounts of energy in order to create a sort of black-hole effect in a designated area, destroying all matter in a 100 mile diameter, a perfect weapon for the 3-dimensional combat fought in space.

We then attached these monstrous weapons onto ships, and we flew out to engage the enemy once more.

My father was in command of the UNS Spirit of Valor at the time. She was the very first Odyssey Class vessel ever constructed, at least 3.5 kilometres in length and 1 kilometre in width, she served as the flagship of the fleet of retribution.

The battle of the colony over Orion was horrendous, The Fleet had lost at least 91 ships that day, and we would have lost the Spirit of Valor had it not been for my Father's leadership. In the aftermath of the battle, we had annihilated millions of these winged monsters who utilized primitive swarming tactics which were easily countered by our effective use of mobility and firepower.

After a month of silence, Humanity it seemed, had prevailed over these demons.

My father returned back to Earth a different man, almost hollow. He talked seldomnly despite being hailed as one of the heroes of "The Greatest War", he had seen too much destruction for one man to endure. But he was a strong man, and he wanted his son to follow along that same path.

Like my father and his father before him, I was born and raised to be a commander in the United Nations Space Fleet, and at the age of 7, I was enrolled into the prestigious and ancient Annapolis Academy.

Our training was hard and tough, but it was as I had expected.

Rise up at 3:30 Am and begin running in unison through the mountains until dawn. Breakfast was soon eaten, and classes then commenced. We were to be the brightest and strongest humanity would have to offer, and as such, a wide variety of topics were taught to us in order to make our minds flexible and brilliant altogether. Mathematics, Science, Finance, Psychology, Military Tactics, we were mastering College-level studies by age 10, as we were pushed to do so. The training was tough, but the facilities at the academy were the very best of the best. Our tutors and mentors offered us boundless wells of assistance and information, from which we prospered intellectually and physically.
