Yea.. I lost faith in our garbage system after the only ticket I've ever received.

I had to show up in court before a judge over a stop sign ticket. I got distracted by my kids on the way to school and I ended up blowing a stop sign. Somebody saw it and called the cops on me. I received a call from the authorities, followed by a letter in the mail requiring me to show up in court.

Showed up and waited my turn. A Wal-Mart theif received a $400 fine. Then a man who trespassed on school grounds and hung out on the roof with his friends got $450.

My turn. I plead guilty. $600 fine. My first driving violation. No criminal record. I walked out of that place so fucking angry. How the fuck does a thief get a smaller fine than a minor traffic violation?
