2 transgender women were killed in New Orleans in 48 hours

I'd say I'm religious, not extremely, I don't go to church every sunday or pray before meals etc, but a little faith now and then makes me feel a little more comfortable I'll admit. Now, I'm catholic, a type of Christianity not known for being massively accepting.

I'm also gay, which seems to seriously trigger a few of my older relatives... Not once has my thoughts on my faith or any other religion made me feel anything negative towards another person.

I am accepting of all races, religions, sexual orientations, genders, simply because I am me, and I should only be concerned about what I believe in, not others.

30 years ago I'd likely face the same treatment trans people still face today, it's all a matter of progression. As time passes and more people grow and form their own opinions without relying on the beliefs of their parents or what they've been brought up with, more people will understand and realise that no matter what, we are all human.

Nobody deserves to be treated as lesser for who they believe they're born to be.
