Abortion clinic takes city council to court to stop protesters 'harassing' patients and staff

Something a lot of people including the protestors don't understand, is that not every woman going in there is going for an abortion, the Fertility Control Clinic also offers contraception, STD Tests, Miscarriage Treatment, Removal of Ectopic Pregnancies and I believe they even now do vasectomies and tube tying.

I have been to the Fertility Control Clinic twice, and both times they were amazing. Never for an abortion, but once for a Morning After Pill as a terrified 16 year-old with no sex education beyond "Penis+Vagina= Baby" who made a poor choice in partner and lack of protection, and had no idea whether these pills were illegal or available but really expensive, and the doctor I saw was extremely nice and calmed my nerves and talked me through what to do, and the other time was to obtain my Copper IUD

Both times there were around 10 people outside protesting, the majority of them just tried to hand me a pamphlet and were completely non-intimidating, however there were on both occassions a couple of protestors who were extremely verbally abusive, one of who tried to block my way into the entrance on one occasion and on both occassions I had my picture taken as I went in which made me extremely uncomfortable.

IMO, The Clinic should take action against individual protestors that are causing the problems instead of looking for a prohibition order which opens up the floodgates for extreme laws that entirely stop any form of peaceful protest. Physically blocking someone's right of way and taking pictures of someone without their permission and proceeding to yell "You're in trouble now, whore" is obviously unacceptable behaviour that should be punished, but standing outside with obviously factually incorrect pamphlets and asking people about the "good news" should be shrugged off, met with eye-rolls or at the most extreme, even a suggestion or two for them to get a job should be the appropiate response to them rather than banning them.
