I get it's not his responsibility but the consequences of kicker her out are going to be more damaging than if he'd just sucked it up and little, bought some ear plugs to use for the first 12 months and made a long term plan for the mum to move out.

So the mum isn't immediately shafted with triple or more the expense needed to move, new job or not, that's too much while pregnant.

Hospital may pay and have better benefits than a waitress but I highly doubt it's going to be enough for newly single mum, living alone immediately after giving birth and in NYC.

This is also assuming they even hirer her, pregnant woman who are about to hop on Months of paid leave, are not popular hires.

OP just seems immature about it all, it's a baby, you can still come home and do anything you want. Other than night time crying, OP probably wouldn't even notice a baby around.
