AITA for profiting off my father's death and my mother's suicide?

And so have I, Ive been through the admissions process for the past 1-2 years for top universities in the U.S and got into them. But your comment wasn’t helpful nor relevant.

Whether OP gets pity from the admissions committee or not is on the committee, his biological parents death is still a part of his past, and he has a right to write about it if he wants to. He’s not making anything up, he’s just utilizing his past to hopefully seem more unique.

I’m not sure how the process is in the U.K, but Ivy admissions in the U.S are highly competitive, and student during the admissions process are highly recommended to reflect on their past and “embellish” details to stand out. I highly doubt that hopefuls that want to go to Oxford, or schools like MIT don’t use the same methods.
