Albania for expats

It's as nuts as any hotel quarantine enforcing country right now (crazy hoops to jump though), but outside of Covid times most of the complaints from expats are from the digital nomad border running kind. This is because immigration are rejecting the people who are doing consecutive border runs and demanding they show proof that they are not working if they are on tourist visas. After covid...I have a feeling things will become looser again as they have lost too many tourists to continue being so strict

It is fairly ok if you are on the right marriage or work visa. But that said, I have my own complaints there. The fact a Thai marriage visa doesn't grant you the right to work (still need a work permit which are hard to get in most professions) infuriates me on a deep level. Like that is almost some human right violating shit.

Tough times right now for anyone on anything other than a rock solid work/marriage visa in quite a few Asian countries. Old tricks are starting to fail.
