Alliance Defending Freedom makes interesting one-sided videos. These stories are fabricated to my knowledge. The SPLC has designated them as a hate group. Oh, and they are currently deleting all opposing comments in their videos, which seem to be the majority. The irony in protecting "free speech."

The story here was reported in the LA Times and it was pretty lazy of you to imply it was made up without googling it.

I wasn't aware that youtube channels could delete comments on their videos, but doing so wouldn't violate anybody's constitutional rights. There is no right to have your comments preserved on someone else's channel on a private company's website, so there's no hypocrisy involved in deleting them.

It's more credible to me that at a public university a student would have a legal right to not be silenced by a government employee for saying what this guy said. It appears that the court agreed.

In general my thoughts about freedom of inquiry and expression are pretty old school liberal. It used to be common for men who actually fought fascists to say that they might disagree with what someone was saying, but would defend their right to say it to the death. I'm not that gung-ho, but I definitely wouldn't feel the need to shut annoying students up in a public speaking class.
